Mark I asked my favorite port expert Roy Hersh and he came up with nothing! Bummer, but he did mention that if you went to his forum at <a href="<a href="http://www.fortheloveofport.com " target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.fortheloveofport.com "><a href="http://www.fortheloveofport.com " target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.fortheloveofport.com and posted there his network of port lovers would be able to help you out asap! I think that might be the best course of action! Sorry we couldn't help directly but please let us know if you find your answer there....Cheers,

i have a bottle of vintage port given to me by a recently widowed titled lady from her late husbands cellar, it has no label, the bottle is very dark possibly black glass with a wax sealed cork and there does not appear to be any seepage, any suggestions ?

Just discovered a bottle of 1977 Cresta Blanca Tinta Port in my father's house. Apparently it was left there by his now deceased uncle. He (that is, my father, not my uncle) ;-) does not drink wine and though I do enjoy port, I'm not sure if I should store this particular bottle for optimal results. Any comments would be appreciated!
    Thanks.

Marc I would say open it and see what it tastes like! :) Can't hurt you and you may have a troube finding any info, with out a label. If it were me I would invite some friends over and treat it like Capones tomb! :)

PK, Don't know the producer myself, though 77 was not a bad year. You are looking at a wine that is probably at peak, but you may want to check with the real experts over at: <a href="<a href="http://www.fortheloveofport.com " target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.fortheloveofport.com "><a href="http://www.fortheloveofport.com " target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.fortheloveofport.com They can tell you everything you want to know....

In both cases all I want is a full report on both bottles if you do open them!
