Having had a chance to visit and taste in Priorat last spring with my wife, I was hoping you had tasted the 2005 and 2006 Laurona. Although I do not have your ability to separate the various fruits, spices, etc., I think I can discern quality when I run into it. The 06 and 07 (barrel tasting) should be excellent +++ when they finally sneak out of the cellar and into the stores. As will the Clos Mogador (impossible finish and nose) which I have just managed to secure (the 2005) here in the states. We also managed to taste Clos Figueres and a number of other wines from the Priorat and Monsant regions (and like you, we swallowed more than we spit!! Couldn't stand to let go of the mouthful!!).

We love the Priorat region, have about 100 bottles from the area in our cellar (among other Spanish, etc.), and I made some great images of the various wineries and vineyards that Edna and I visited. We have been invited back to photograph the harvest and pressing in 2008 and plan to come over for 2 or 3 weeks and stay in the Falset area. It is great to find another wine URL devoted to Spanish wine and food and the Iberian Peninsula, and you are now permanently bookmarked on our computers.

I will check in on what you are doing from time to time and will definitely appreciate using your page for research.
