    Mateus sure does bring back memories! And so does Lancer, although I didn't care for that one too much but I thought Mateus was the good life. Didn't they have tv commercials about how to pronounce the name - Ma-tay-us or Ma-toosh - or am I just recalling my own conversations? Anyway, Mateus was a favorite of mine for a long time and you can't forget the bottle shape, that's for sure.

    Honestly, I have no idea if there were commercials on the pronunciation because I think it was before my time. Ryan seems to remember drinking it in college a bit, but I didn't try it until I moved to Spain. I'm not sure if you saw our article on Mateus and Lancers, but feel free to jog your memory and commiserate with others who probably share your sentiments :-)

    Never drank the stuff until I got to Spain. I remember Parents and friends much older than me talking about them. But I never went near the stuff. Other than maybe sticking a candle in the top of an empty bottle I would find...
