  • In addition to Rias Baixas' Albarino, we should pay special attention to up-in-coming regions like Ribeiro and Valdeorras. Ribeiro with its wonderful white wine blends was once the standard bearer of Galician wine but it was often quite inconsistent. It finally seems to be coming into its own. I'm especially excited about this one simply because of all the combinations you have with the different regional varieties. In Valdeorras, you have the wonderful Godello. Unfortunately, in my recent travels to the U.S., I haven't seen many of them. Hopefully that will change in the future.


    What are your thoughts on these?
