Wow...what a phenomenal sounding meal! So many delicious sounding dishes. Thanks for this glimpse into such a culinary adventure.


I certainly cannot wait for my trip to Spain this fall to get to dine at some great Spanish restaurants. One of the highlights for me will be a trip to Akelare in San Sebstian, a Michelin 3 star restaurant. They actually just got their third star this past December.

The service was great. Ryan and I disagree on our lead server a bit in that I felt a little rushed and that his English could use a bit of help (our hosts weren't completely clear what he was describing - nor I to be honest), while Ryan thought he did great and didn't pick up on the same things I did. In the end though, we agree that there was always a smile - rare here in Spain, a please and thank you, and continual check in to see if all was going well. We both would say they did a wonderful job.
