- Spanish fruit in a good year holds enough character to be worth preserving without "oak". An old neutral barrel for storage is a different and practical matter, but "oak" is too...
- Great read Gabriella. Was hoping to go to the bloggers conference, but clashes with another trip. Regards, Lindsay
- Nice post. Very evocative imagery. Cheers!
- Hey Bill, happy belated birthday from both of us! We're so sorry we couldn't have celebrated with you, but we'll make us for lost time at Christmas ;-)
- Agree with your thoughts on bottle aged wine. Just finished up my birthday dinner. One of the bottles was a '95 Ch. Lascombes. It's been in my cellar (wine closet) for 10 years or so. Funny...

Thanks for this new article. I have also taken a look at your website and think it has some interesting info. I am going to be in Madrid in a few weeks so will definitely look at your website in more detail for suggestions.

I clicked on the link over on Tapas Talk for the Madrid Google map but I only get a Google map of North America. Is the link not working properly? Or I am doing something wrong?

I was very pleased to find the link on your site to Todopintxos as I will also be visiting San Sebastian. Todo has some good lists of pintxos routes that should prove useful.

I totally relate to your "ahhh, this is Spain" feeling. I lived in Sevilla for a year and have spent a lot of time in Madrid. The warmth I have experienced from the Spanish culture and people never ceases to amaze me. Now that I'm back in California I reminisce all the time about the little things I loved in Spain... things like 2 euro tapas, chalk tabs on the bar, and of course the food and wine! I'm so excited to have discovered this blog so I can live vicariously through you!
