Catavino: Lomo of Guijuelo

YUM! (how's that for an intelligent comment, right?)

I ate plenty of Lomo on my recent trip to Spain. Every breakfast buffet had it. Many of the wineries I visited served it with their tasting. It was also a part of many of my multicourse lunches and dinners. Though I cannot say whether I had any Guijuelo lomo or not. If I did, no one ever identified it as such.

Well, there are lots of other good regions that produce great lomo and hams. But next time ask for Guijuelo, its a real delicacy.

PS. I would venture to guess that you were able to try some good ones at least, no?

    :)

Most definitely Janelle. Spain knows how to bring out the best in all their pork products.
