July 1st means the last day to submit my entry to Joan Gómez Pallarès’s Iberamerica Wine Tasting on his blog, Devinis. He asked us all to select one monovarietal red wine that is characteristic of my region that is valued under 15 Euros, or 20 Dollars.

    Sorry to hear you are under the weather. I hope you recover for the weekend!

  • Thank you both for your kind words. I am on my way to recovery as we speak and look forwards to drinking some fabulous wines that we need to write about in the near future. And considering that my illness was a result of staying in the same place as the herd of little ones in the center of one of the most beautiful places on Earth called, Queralbs (Google this and you'll find a wealth of information on how incredible this place is), I can't complain. I could drink from the tap and the water tasted purer and fresher than Madrid, which is actually saying a lot, all while hiking through stone villages and be served Grenacha tinto from a purron for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If this is what it takes to be this ill, I'll happily take it and continue drinking wine in the process :-)
