Cava DO question: I have heard that there is a 4 pointed star on the corks of all Cavas. One, what are the origins of that star? Two, is it mandatory for a D.O. Cava to have the star on their cork? Three, if it is voluntary, then why wouldn't a winery place the star on their cork? Fourth, are there problems with fraudelent wineries adding stars to their corks when they are not supposed to?
Book idea: A comprehensive book on the wineries of the rest of the U.S., excluding the well known states like CA, OR and WA. Every state in the U.S. has wineries now. Alaska has 7! Yet there is very little info on all of the wineries in these states.
